HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Install
Install a Fortress Power battery system and inverter in Rocky Mountain Power’s utility territory in Utah or Idaho.
Authorize
Sign the Rocky Mountain Power Terms & Conditions and allow Rocky Mountain Power to control and dispatch your battery.
Get Paid
Rocky Mountain Power will send you an upfront payment and then provide a monthly bill credit starting in year two.

HOW IT WORKS
- When the grid is stressed, Rocky Mountain Power dispatches part of your battery instead of dirty, expensive peaker plants. This helps keep your air clean and bills low.
- Fortress Power verifies the battery discharge and Rocky Mountain Power pays you annually for your participation.
ELIGIBILITY
Home and business owners are eligible for Wattsmart incentives if they:
- Are in the Rocky Mountain Power territory on Electric Service Schedule 135, 136, or 137
- Own premise where equipment is installed
- Charge their battery from an onsite solar system
- Own the following hardware:
- Have customer generation meter.
- Have constantly working and reliable Internet connection and Rocky Mountain Power communications verification.
