Annual incentives start at $225 and can go up to $500. The bigger your battery system, the bigger your incentive.
We optimize the amount of energy your battery discharges to ensure the greatest possible revenue while keeping enough in reserve to reduce your energy bill and provide backup.
In addition to getting paid by Fortress, we manage your battery to maximize the value of the Net Metering credits, lowering your energy bill even further.
HOW IT WORKS
- When the grid is stressed, the utilities and grid operator increase the value of supporting the grid.
- Fortress Power monitors these prices and dispatches your battery when the prices are highest.
- Energy from the battery is used by the home’s load.
- At certain times, the price is high enough to export additional energy to the grid. At these times, you are getting paid to help the grid and generating Net Metering credits, a win for you and the grid.
- Fortress Power verifies the battery discharge and pays you annually for your participation.
- The utilities and grid operator pay Fortress for helping stabilize the Californian grid.

Home and business owners are eligible for EnergyBroker in California if they:
- Are in the territory of any of the three major utilities (SDG&E, SCE, and PG&E)
- Are not simultaneously enrolled with another Aggregator.
- Own the following hardware:
Fortress Power Envy or Avalon Inverters
eFlex 5.4, eVault Max, or Avalon Batteries
